Our Mission

It is the mission of Fur De Lis Mobile Veterinary Services to provide loving End of Life care for your canine or feline in the comfort and convenience of your own home.
In addition, chiropractic services and traditional Chinese veterinary medicine based acupuncture are offered for cats, dogs, and horses. We truly understand compassionate care, and have been established as an Independent Veterinary Practice (not corporate owned) since 2014. We bring a unique and personal one-on-one experience to your companion pets and performance horses.

Fur De Lis Mobile Veterinary Services was created by Dr. Ashley Tahir, who is a New Orleans native that has been working in the metro area as a Small Animal General Practitioner since January of 2012. Dr. Ashley is a graduate of St. George's University (DVM/MPH), The Chi University of Traditional Veterinary Medicine (Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist and Hospice/Palliative Care Practitioner), and The Parker University School of Animal Chiropractic (Certified by the American Veterinary Chiropractic Association). Dr. Ashley believes in bringing the "old fashioned" housecall model of care to pets of the New Orleans area. She has a particular interest in geriatric pet care. She also enjoys surgery, providing high volume spay and neutering services for local pet organizations when she is not working at her own practice.
When she isn't working, Dr. Ashley enjoys riding her horse, watching Saints football, spending time with her pets, volunteering, and attending local festivals with friends and family. Dr. Ashley is passionate about the City of New Orleans and giving her 4-legged patients the best care she can offer. She is a proud member of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), Louisiana Veterinary Medical Association (LVMA), Southeast Louisiana Veterinary Medical Association (SLVMA), and the Who Dat Nation! Dr. Ashley was also a proud recipient of the 2019 New Orleans Magazine HealthCare Hero Award.
